1969 Bmw R50/2 in Salt Lake City, UT

This motorcycle is pristine with 13,900 original miles & only 3 owners. Title, engine, frame, & I.D. plate numbers match. This motorcycle sat in a climate controlled environment most of it's life. This is truly a piece of classic artwork that is totally functioning & dependable. It starts, runs, & rides as beautifully as it looks.This engine was totally disassembled & being in as new shape was resealed with new gaskets.When the engine was disassembled the only thing needing to be returned to as new were valve guides replaced, 3 angle valve job, & the stock bores slightly honed & new rings gapped &fitted to the stock bores and pistons.The transmission was disassembled and found to be perfect so it was resealed with new gaskets.The splines were all inspected & found as new with no wear. They were then cleared & lubed with Teraco Star Plex Moly II. The condition of the splines was another testament to original mileage. The Earls fork & shock absorbers were rebuilt & replaced to be as new.The wheels were disassembled & new Timken bearings & seals were installed. The spokes were also trued at this time.
